  • Regulatory standing. In clinical trials, not yet approved
  • Limited human data. Some human data exists, not conclusive
  • Registered human trials. 4 registered studies on ClinicalTrials.gov, most advanced Phase 2

Computed with the same four public criteria as every profile. The human-evidence grade on an indexed profile is set automatically and may change when it is hand-reviewed. It is not a safety score, not a purity rating, and not medical advice, and not a claim that this compound treats, cures, or prevents any condition.

What it is

Cibinetide, also called ARA-290, is a small synthetic peptide modeled on a region of erythropoietin (EPO). It is designed to engage the so-called innate repair receptor, thought to be a complex of the EPO receptor and the beta common receptor, with the aim of reducing inflammation and supporting tissue repair without stimulating red blood cell production.

What the evidence shows

Automatic summaryLimited human data

Cibinetide is investigational and not FDA-approved. A small number of registered human trials, reaching Phase 2, have explored it mainly for neuropathic pain and small fiber neuropathy, for example in sarcoidosis and diabetes, but these studies were small and do not establish that it works.
