Computed with the same four public criteria as every profile. The human-evidence grade on an indexed profile is set automatically and may change when it is hand-reviewed. It is not a safety score, not a purity rating, and not medical advice, and not a claim that this compound treats, cures, or prevents any condition.
What it is
Ecnoglutide, also known as XW003, is an investigational long-acting synthetic peptide that activates the GLP-1 receptor. Like other drugs in this class, it is thought to act on insulin release, appetite, and stomach emptying. It is designed with a signaling bias intended to favor certain receptor pathways.
What the evidence shows
Ecnoglutide is not FDA-approved. It has 15 registered human trials reaching Phase 3 and about 16 published papers, with studies in type 2 diabetes and weight management, but its benefits and safety are not yet established by regulatory review.
