Computed with the same four public criteria as every profile. The human-evidence grade on an indexed profile is set automatically and may change when it is hand-reviewed. It is not a safety score, not a purity rating, and not medical advice, and not a claim that this compound treats, cures, or prevents any condition.

What it is

Follistatin 344 is a form of follistatin, a naturally occurring protein that binds and neutralizes members of the TGF-beta family such as myostatin and activin. By blocking myostatin, which normally limits muscle growth, it is thought to promote muscle growth. FST-344 is a precursor isoform that is processed into the circulating FS-315 form and has mainly been studied as a gene therapy construct.
