Computed with the same four public criteria as every profile. The human-evidence grade on an indexed profile is set automatically and may change when it is hand-reviewed. It is not a safety score, not a purity rating, and not medical advice, and not a claim that this compound treats, cures, or prevents any condition.
What it is
Ganirelix is a synthetic peptide that blocks gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) receptors in the pituitary gland. By blocking these receptors, it quickly lowers the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which can prevent an early LH surge during fertility treatment.
What the evidence shows
Ganirelix is FDA approved for inhibiting premature LH surges in women undergoing controlled ovarian hyperstimulation as part of fertility treatment. It is supported by over 100 registered human trials, including Phase 4 studies, and a substantial published literature, while uses outside this indication are not established.
