Computed with the same four public criteria as every profile. The human-evidence grade on an indexed profile is set automatically and may change when it is hand-reviewed. It is not a safety score, not a purity rating, and not medical advice, and not a claim that this compound treats, cures, or prevents any condition.
What it is
GHRP-6 (growth hormone releasing peptide 6) is a synthetic six amino acid peptide developed in the 1980s. It acts on the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a), which is thought to stimulate the pituitary to release growth hormone and to increase appetite.
What the evidence shows
GHRP-6 is not FDA approved, and no registered human trials are listed. There are about 700 published papers, including small older human studies showing short-term growth hormone release, but most work is in animals or labs, and no clinical benefit is established in humans.
