Computed with the same four public criteria as every profile. The human-evidence grade on an indexed profile is set automatically and may change when it is hand-reviewed. It is not a safety score, not a purity rating, and not medical advice, and not a claim that this compound treats, cures, or prevents any condition.
What it is
Mazdutide (also coded LY3305677 and IBI362) is a synthetic peptide that activates both the GLP-1 receptor and the glucagon receptor. GLP-1 signaling is linked to appetite reduction and blood sugar control, while glucagon receptor activity is thought to increase energy expenditure and affect liver fat. It was originally developed by Eli Lilly and advanced clinically by Innovent Biologics.
What the evidence shows
It is not FDA-approved and remains investigational in the US. There is a substantial human trial record, with 43 registered trials and Phase 3 studies reporting weight loss and improved blood sugar in adults with obesity or type 2 diabetes, but long-term safety and outcome data are still limited.
