Computed with the same four public criteria as every profile. The human-evidence grade on an indexed profile is set automatically and may change when it is hand-reviewed. It is not a safety score, not a purity rating, and not medical advice, and not a claim that this compound treats, cures, or prevents any condition.
What it is
Pancragen is a short synthetic peptide from the Khavinson group of so-called bioregulator peptides developed in Russia, generally described as a tetrapeptide (often listed as Lys-Glu-Asp-Trp) modeled on pancreatic tissue extracts. It is proposed to influence gene expression and cell differentiation in pancreatic tissue, but this mechanism is not well established.
What the evidence shows
The published literature is small, about seven papers, and consists mainly of cell culture and animal studies from a limited group of researchers. There are no registered human trials, so any effect on pancreatic function or blood sugar in people is unproven.
