- No registered human trials. Nothing registered on ClinicalTrials.gov
- 1 cited source. Includes primary / regulatory sources
Computed with the same four public criteria as every profile. The human-evidence grade on an indexed profile is set automatically and may change when it is hand-reviewed. It is not a safety score, not a purity rating, and not medical advice, and not a claim that this compound treats, cures, or prevents any condition.
What it is
Vilon is a short synthetic dipeptide made of lysine and glutamic acid (Lys-Glu), developed mainly by Russian researchers as a so-called peptide bioregulator. It has been proposed to influence gene expression and immune and tissue function, particularly in the thymus, but these mechanisms come largely from lab and animal work.
What the evidence shows
There are no registered human clinical trials, and the roughly 64 published papers are mostly cell and animal studies from a small group of research centers. Any benefit in humans is unestablished, and it is not approved by the FDA for any use.
